Happy Monday friends! The last few weeks have been so incredibly hectic for me. I actually had two whole beautiful sunny days off this weekend and for the first time, Monday doesn’t feel so bad. Isn’t it amazing how much a difference free time can make?! Now, more than ever, I realize how hard I’ve been on myself while working 7 days a week. I’ve decided to make some big life changes in the near future, but more to come on that later.
A couple of weeks ago I reached out on Facebook and asked some of my Girls Gone Sporty and Sweat Pink sisters for advice on wetsuits. I received amazing feedback and it really helped to speak with other triathletes being this was my first wetsuit. In the process I met a woman who happened to live near me and who was also a member of a triathlete club who practiced at a lake not far from my house. What a small world this is! She extended the invitation to participate in their annual open water kick of swim and I was happy she did. I’ve been looking into joining a tri club but just haven’t had the time or the energy to join one. After last Saturday I know it will be an essential part of my training and I’d be silly not to join.
