I was challenged by Lindsay @shemomfit to participate in the take the Leap yoga challenge last week. Due to growing demands of marathon training and working 7 days a week I missed the first week of the challenge. Ironically, after feeling like I’ve broken my legs, feet, and ankles due to marathon training I now realize a little Yoga is EXACTLY what I need right now! Better late than never I suppose!
When I think about yoga, the first thought that comes to mind is that time I fell asleep during a yoga class in college and started snoring. Yoga scares me and makes me feel like I need to do more stretching because when I run I feel flexible and free but when I do yoga I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger trying to sit indian style.
That’s why I am SO driven to participate in prAna’s Take The Leap 30 days of Yoga Challenge with Sweat Pink. I plan to down ward dog my way to a more flexible and relaxed 2015!
For me, the biggest challenge when it comes to yoga is getting my legs where they need to be, like a game of twister. Taking the Leap with prAna and Sweat Pink is a great way for me to face my inner Arnold and turn me into the new and improved “Priscilla Loves to Yoga”!
My favorite place to yoga is the park because it is so beautiful and bright and sunny and ugh! just perfect.
Here’s a photo of me in my very best cobra pose (not really me btw… he he he)
